will be releasing a curved screen 
We reported on a flexible screen Galaxy Note 3 Limited Edition phone which is on its way - perhaps this is what that is. Although that handset sounded like a flexible screen but on a flat device. This newly announced mobile will actually have a curved screen a bit like Samsung's curved OLED TV.
"We plan to introduce a smartphone with a curved display in South Korea in October," Samsung's mobile business head of strategic marketing D.J. Lee said at the event last night in Korea.
While a curved screen offers a better viewing angle on TV this might not sit as comfortably as current mobiles in your pocket - hence the edge curve as shown in the picture. As you can see from the image above it could prove useful as a notification bar for at a glance messages.
This is a step in the direction of bendable mobiles - a technology that would suit the next Galaxy Gear smartwatch perfectly.
