Android 4.4 KitKat rolls out to HTC One Developer Edition and unlocked models in US

article-title

If turkey dinner leftovers and huge discounts on your favourite tech gadgets weren't enough to celebrate over this weekend, now you have something else to get excited about: KitKat is rolling out to the HTC One Developer Edition and unlocked models.
HTC USA just announced that it would begin upgrading the Developer Edition and unlocked variant of the HTC One starting today. Those handsets will soon get the latest and greatest Android OS, called KitKat, as well as the Sense 5.5 overlay.
Today's roll out comes weeks before the carrier-locked models are expected to get an upgrade. HTC revealed last month that the HTC One would get KitKat and Sense 5.5 within 90 days of KitKat's launch in the US. As for the Google Play edition, it has already received KitKat.
While the KitKat roll out didn't come as quick as it did for the Google Play edition, owners of the unlocked and Developer Edition HTC One still have plenty to be thankful for this holiday weekend.
