Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 8.0 to have a Snapdragon 400 CPU; a Verizon version (SM-T337V) might be in the works

We already told you that the unannounced Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 8.0supposedly features a quad-core 1.2GHz processor. A recent benchmark test seemingly confirms this, while also unveiling the CPU model: a Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 MSM- 8926 with Adreno 305 GPU - the same that’s found inside Motorola’s Moto G.

The benchmark, found over at GFXBench, tested the Samsung SM-T335, which should be the LTE-capable version of the Tab 4 8.0. As you may know, there will also be a Galaxy Tab 4 7.0 and a Galaxy Tab 4 10.1, and both should have the same Snapdragon 400 chipset.

We also discovered a previously unseen Samsung SM-T337V tablet. This received a Wi-Fi certification recently, and it could be a Verizon-bound version of the Galaxy Tab 4 8.0 SM-T335. You see, two other Galaxy tablets that were caught with Verizon logos on them - the Galaxy Note 10.1 2014 Edition and theGalaxy NotePRO - have models numbers ending in V: SM-P605V and SM-P905V, respectively. That’s why we believe the SM-T337V is also headed to Verizon.

It’s said that Samsung will officially announce the Galaxy Tab 4 series later this month at MWC, alongside the Galaxy S5 and Galaxy Gear 2
