As yet, we haven't heard reports of the
updates rolling out to the Wi-Fi Nexus 7 or the Nexus 10. So, we're
assuming that there are some bug fixes in the update related to mobile
connectivity. We have to assume that because it doesn't look like any of
the camera improvements
for the Nexus 5 have filtered down to the other Nexus devices. We
tested out the camera on a Nexus 4 before and after sideloading the
4.4.1 update, and we didn't see any difference at all.
In
fact, we didn't even see the new progress bar when taking an HDR photo.
We can understand if the other fixes aren't coming to other devices,
but that was one feature that would have made sense to be on all
devices.
If you want to do the manual update
on either a Nexus 4 or Nexus 7 (LTE), you'll need to make sure your
device is running Android 4.4 build KRT16S, then just follow the same old instructions.
