International HTC One models to receive Android 4.4.2 no later than next month?

HTC insider@LlabTooFer sent out a tweet on Friday to reveal that according to his information, the international version of the HTC One will receive the Android 4.4.2 update next month at the latest, this month at the earliest. Of course, the stock Android HTC One Google Play edition has already received the update to the latest build of Google's open source OS. The devices mentioned in the tweet include the overseas versions of the HTC One, HTC One with Dual SIM, HTC One mini and the HTC One max. 

In addition, @LlabTooFer mentioned in another tweet that it is the end of the line for the overseas HTC One X, which is 18 months old. The international version of the phone runs Android 4.2.2 and already offers support for BlinkFeed and Sense 5. One reason that the HTC One X will not get any more updates is the complexity involved in updating this version of the phone, which is powered by the Tegra 3 processor.

Android 4.4.2 will not be coming to the HTC One with Sense 6 (which can also be called the sixth Sense). This new version of HTC's Android skin will not be offered to HTC phones currently on the market, until next Fall. The combination of Android 4.4.2 and Sense 6 could be what is installed out of the box on the sequel to the HTC One, rumored to be called the HTC One+ or the HTC One 2.

Meanwhile, the U.S. version of the HTC One is supposed to receive Android 4.4.2 this month, in an OTA updated bundled with Sense 5.5.
